Tap a line to react or leave a comment. Your note sits next to the sentence it’s about, so the author sees exactly what you meant.
Invited or picked
Authors send private invite links to their ARC team, or list a book and choose from the readers who apply. You need a free account either way.
What the author sees
ARC reading isn’t anonymous to the author. They can see how far you’ve read in their book, whether you finished, and the comments you leave in the margin.
Detailed reading analytics — where readers slow down or re-read — are shown to authors only in aggregate, and you can switch them off any time in the reader’s Aa settings.
Your email is on every page
Each ARC copy is watermarked: your email is tiled faintly across every page, and copying and printing are turned off. It’s what lets authors share an unreleased book with people they haven’t met.
The books you read here are never used to train AI, and we don’t sell your data.
